This project involved comprehensive research into the electrification of building systems, focusing on advanced technologies such as Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) and high-efficiency heat pump integration. By analyzing leading international case studies from Denmark, the US, and Switzerland, we provided strategic insights into achieving carbon neutrality through the decarbonization of heating and cooling infrastructures in large-scale commercial and historic buildings.
